2024-25

 

Our S5 Sports leaders are currently being trained in basketball. They are now delivering to S1 pupils for practice before heading out into the learning community in November to deliver to all primary aschools. Here they are in action....

 

Key areas our for our programme...

1. Enhanced Leadership Skills: Senior pupils develop strong leadership abilities, learning to guide and motivate younger students effectively.

2. Improved Communication: Teaching basketball fosters better communication skills, as they must explain rules and techniques clearly.

3. Increased Responsibility: Taking on a leadership role instills a sense of responsibility and accountability in senior pupils.

4. Teamwork and Collaboration: Pupils learn the importance of teamwork by working with younger students, enhancing their collaborative skills.

5. Personal Development: Engaging in sports leadership contributes to personal growth, self-confidence, and resilience.

6. Physical Fitness Promotion: Senior pupils help promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles among younger peers through active participation in sports.

7. Conflict Resolution Skills: Teaching sports helps develop conflict resolution abilities, as they learn to manage disputes and differences in a team setting.

8. Community Building: Sports leadership fosters a sense of community within the school, bringing together students of different ages through shared activities.
