Welcome to the Faculty of Social Subjects.

This Faculty includes the subject areas of
  • Geography,
  • History,
  • Modern Studies
  • Politics.
The aim of the faculty is to promote confidence in all young people not only in our subject areas but as individuals who have the skills to make a smooth transition from school to the world of work, further and higher education. All of the social subjects aim to help young people make sense of the world we live in today.

Expectations in Social Subjects

We have high expectations of all our young people in Social Subjects. We expect homework to be of a high standard and handed in on time. We also expect that young people work to the best of their ability in class. We have an open door policy which means that they can come to us for assistance and help in any aspect of their studies in our faculty.

We also operate supported study and Easter revision classes. We firmly believe that we can bring out the best in our young people by working hard as a partnership with them. It is our belief that young people that are happy, secure and comfortable in our Faculty will enjoy their time here and work hard and be motivated to bring about the best results for themselves.
