Curriculum for Excellence

In the Science Department we deliver the Broad General Education over S1 to S3 through 12 Topics. Each topic has a “theme” and is designed to encourage pupils to develop their investigation skills and higher order thinking skills.

Pupils will work through both level three and level four Science experiences and outcomes to enable them to make and informed choice when they choose their subjects. Each topic has a research activity and a design activity.

Here’s an example of applying your knowledge. S2 pupils designed a Space Pod in Topic 6.
