Support For Learning

The Support for learning department exists to help any of our young people who are experiencing difficulties with his or her learning and to assist and support departments in ensuring all young people have materials which offer challenge and support as appropriate.

Support for learning in St. Mungo's Academy begins before any young person transfers from P7 into S1. Information is shared with our colleagues in each of our partner primary schools to ensure the required support is in place prior to the young person's arrival in S1.

Once identified, support for individual students is provided within their timetabled classes. This support ranges from those needing specific help to those needing more general support with their learning. Help is available across a wide range of subjects.
